Questions people ask us first
Short answers for merchants and for customers. If yours is not here, ask us.
For merchants
Nothing during the Nairobi pilot. After that, plans are based on what you use: one location, several locations, or campaigns with analytics. Final prices are not set yet, so we have not printed any. See pricing.
No. You set up your programme in Loyila and your staff scan with the Loyila scanner on their own phones. Your customers use the Loyila customer app.
The customer opens their app and shows their QR code. A staff member with the scanner role scans it. The visit is recorded, the stamp or points are added, and both phones show it. It takes a second or two.
The code changes each time it is shown, so a screenshot cannot be reused.
They open the Loyila app, create an account, and add your programme with your sign-up code, which you can print for the counter. If they already use Loyila at another place, joining yours takes one tap.
Yes. Add each branch to the same programme. Staff belong to a branch, and your dashboard shows results per branch and in total.
You do. Other merchants on Loyila never see your customers, and we do not sell customer data. Customers can choose what they share with you, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
Customers can add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. SMS notifications are coming soon, so campaigns today reach customers through the app. Coming soon
For customers
Open the app and add the place using the sign-up code at their counter. From then on, showing your QR at that place earns you stamps or points.
No. One Loyila account holds every card. Each place keeps its own rules and branding inside your app.
Yes. Customers never pay for Loyila.
You control what each merchant can see. You can export your data or close your account from inside the app, any time. Merchants only see their own customers. Read the privacy policy.
Your cards are tied to your account, not your phone. Sign in on a new phone and everything is there.
Only places you have joined can send you offers, and you can turn them off per place.
